I had a great post planned for today, but I didn’t end up having enough time to write it. Mainly because I was busy with something much more important…
I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Rob and I have been looking for an apartment in London for almost two months, and we started seriously applying two weeks ago. Two of our offers were accepted, but we declined because they just didn’t feel right.
I mentioned an apartment we liked in my last post, but soon after publishing it, we found out we missed out on it – because we spent too much time deciding whether we wanted it or not. Although it was in a great location, it was tiny and above a pizza shop! I don’t know if I could handle smelling pizza all day long…
At this stage we had started to panic because we move in 13 days and no apartments seem to be available for that date. What’s worse is that we really wanted to find a place close to my brother-in-law, Mickey, and his family, but he happens to live in one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in London so it was looking unlikely!
I seriously owe Mickey a massive favour because he took it upon himself to view an apartment we didn’t even send him to. After some phone calls in the middle of the night, we finally have a place to call home in Clapham Common!
It’s so much better than some of the others we’ve seen for the same price and it’s less than a 10 minute walk from Mickey’s house. All furniture is included (just not pictured here) and so are the bills. Although there are no bodybuilding gyms in the area, there is a regular gym close by that looks much better than what either of us are using at the moment. It would be conveniently awesome if I could also get a job there, which may not be totally unlikely because they are seriously lacking in the female trainer department.
Mickey will pick up the keys for us the day before we arrive, and we will literally move straight in after getting off the plane. I’m so excited, and everything is finally falling into place!
