First of all, thank you all for the amazing response to my last post! It’s always those posts I bang out quickly in a flash of passion and/or rage that seem to receive the best feedback. Perhaps I should spend less time censoring myself in future 😉
Today I would like to talk about an idea I’ve had for a while now. I regularly receive emails and messages from readers who kindly share their stories with me. The stories vary from a huge amount of weight lost, a health condition overturned by exercise, to accounts of finally mustering up the courage to enter the weights room for the first time. I love reading these stories and they warm my heart, but I’ve been thinking that they are almost wasted as I have no way of sharing them.
Once or twice a month I would like to put together a post celebrating you – my lovely readers. One of the main reasons I have a blog is to inspire you to be healthy, strong and happy, and I want to share your success stories through words, pictures and videos.
One of my favourite series of posts are the Femme Friday blogs by Pretty Strong. Unfortunately, they are not run all that regularly any more. Based on the number of messages I receive, I know there are plenty of you out there who have worthy gym accomplishments to celebrate!
I want to celebrate your personal bests and your stories of strength. You don’t have to be an elite powerlifter to be featured – you might just be celebrating your first week in the gym. It doesn’t have to be strength-related either – if you’re feeling proud of a growing bicep or perkier booty, let me know.
I will also share my own achievements and training highlights. I want both men and women to flood my blog with their feats of strength and create a new kind of fitspiration. More people need to be strong and confident, so I hope these posts will help inspire others to jump on board the iron train!
Please email me on tara_pig AT hotmail DOT com if you would like to feature your story and please share any pictures or videos you have. I’m hoping to do the first post in a few weeks, provided there is enough interest of course!
Is this something you would be interested in seeing?
