Metabolic Damage

I seriously damaged my metabolism through a combination of overexercising (2-4 hours of high intensity exercise every single day) and undereating (no more than 1200 calories for 6-7 years). I struggled to process carbohydrates, gained weight extremely quickly and developed polycystic ovarian syndrome. Sadly, all too many people – mostly women – damage their metabolisms by adopting a similar approach. I healed my metabolism and now train 3-4 days per week, and eat around 5000 calories per day.
